Fully ripe bananas produce TNF, or Tumor Necrosis Factor, a substance that has the ability to fight abnormal cells.



As bananas ripen, they develop dark spots on their peel. The more spots they have, the healtier they are. Bananas with dark spots contain more substances that boost your immunity.
Fully ripe bananas are great for your digestive tract, because the sugar is easily absorbed, unlike green bananas that are hard to digest, because their starch is not converted in sugar.


The amount of cells providing anti-cancer effect depends on how ripe your fruit is. The more ripe bananas are, the more anti-cancer properties they have.



The researchers tested grapes, apples, watermelons, pineapples, and pears, and bananas provided the most powerful anti-cancer properties.
