A Glass of Juice Will Make Your Skin Glow

Reaching the target weight will be a happy news for anyone following a weight loss regimen. But the not so happy news will be the fact that your skin has not shrunk to fit your shrunken body, which means that it would be sagging like an empty sack.
With all that fat layers supporting the skin having vanished, you skin could be looking like a burst balloon and probably making you look a decade older than you actually is. This is a situation no one wants.
But it is not a situation that has no remedies. Once again, the problem is choosing the right remedy from the surfeit of diet plans suggested by health gurus, and cosmetic products that flood the market. Further, the present day lifestyle and food availability have completely transformed the eating patterns in much of the western countries.
The nutritive value of the various canned and processed foods that we consume is practically zero. And because our body has become attuned to digesting such foods, the digestive system is losing the ability to absorb the full spectrum nutrients from fresh and natural foods.
The solution, for those who want their glowing skin back even after following a strict weight loss regimen, is to subscribe to a diet of juices, especially whole food juices.
How does juicing help?
Most of the fruits and vegetables that are typically used for juice extraction have high water content. It is this fluid portion of a fruit or vegetable that contains the bulk of the nutrients in it. In a study conducted on 12 popular fruits by the Department of Agriculture, it has been revealed that antioxidants are mostly concentrated in the juices of these fruits.
This claim has been further corroborated by another study, the results of which were published in the premier healthcare journal called International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition.
The latter study emphasizes the importance of antioxidants in minimizing the probability of cardiovascular diseases and cancer. They claim that therapeutic value of fiber is less than that of juices. Further, all the fiber is not lost when juice is extracted, more so if you rely on whole food juicing.
Juice intake is highly beneficial mainly because it aids in improved absorption of nutrients. As said above, the fast foods that we consume today have a high energy density and low nutrient content, and do not help the digestive system to absorb nutrients the right way.
Juices can remedy this shortcoming because they are naturally rich in enzymes that help in digestion and absorption of nutrients. Juices are themselves easy to digest and provide the user with a variety of essential nutrients.
Even if you occasionally take high calorie foods like burgers and fries, your nutritional balance will be maintained more or less to the required degree if you have enough fruit and vegetable juices in your diet.
Juices are tasty, easy to prepare, and do a whole lot of good for your system. So why not make them part and parcel of your diet?
