The Study on Turmeric

The study lasted for 8 weeks and involved 32 subjects, all postmenopausal women. They were separated in 3 groups, ne that had to exercise every day, one that supplemented with turmeric and one that received no treatment.
The women who consumed turmeric had to ingest about 150mg of turmeric extract on a daily basis for 8 weeks. Everything else stayed the same for the turmeric group, including their diet and exercise regimen, they just started consuming turmeric every day.
The exercise group followed a mixed training routine including aerobic training for 30-60 minutes. They had to work out once a week at home while three additional times when they were supervised.
When the study finished it was revealed that both the turmeric and the exercise group had almost identical but significant improvements in their cardiovascular health, compared to the non-treatment control group.
